1. General

    Gastronom S.r.l., VAT number 07019140487, REA number FI – 673519 , legal headquarters Via de’ Caboto, 49, Firenze (herein after Gastronom) makes it available to its Customers the possibility to but Gastronom products, as well as some services. The present business conditions are regulated by the Italian law, specifically Codice del Consumo (D. Lgs. n. 206/2005 and related) and the e-commerce regulations (D. Lgs. n. 70/2003 and related). In case of variation of the present Conditions, the business conditions applied to the purchase order are those published on the Website when the Customer issues the purchase order.

    2. How to purchase

    Purchase orders may be issued by e-mail at info@gastronomknives.com, ordinary mail, by stating the list of articles needed; or by an on-line order using our website www.gastronomknives.com. The orders received may be cancelled upon written and prompt communication, and Gastronom has the right to evaluate and eventually reject this request. It is not possible to cancel an order that is already processing. The purchase contract, signed between the company Gastronom and its Customer, is understood to be concluded with acceptance, even only partial, of the order by Gastronom. Placing an order in the various ways envisaged, the Customer declares he/she has read all the indications given to him/her during the purchase procedure, and that he/she integrally accepts the general and payment terms.

    3. Prices

    The prices shown on the online catalogue from Gastronom include VAT (Italian VAT is actually 22%). Prices may change without any notice. Prices are stated Ex-Works. Additional charges may be included in the final bill, such as: • Delivery fees • Bank fees (depending on the payment chosen) • Insurance fees • Duties If the Customer is purchasing from outside EEC, Gastronom will charge him a price without VAT, therefore inferior to the price shown in the online catalogue. The Customer will pay the duty and the taxes applied in his country when the goods exit the customs.

    4. Transports

    If otherwise not stated, the goods will be delivered by express couriers we currently work with. The delivery fee will be added to the bill. Delivery is understood to be at ground floor and during business time, unless otherwise agreed. At the moment of delivery, the Customer shall check the goods: integrity and correspondence to the packing list. In case of non-conformities, the same must be communicated not later than 48 hours from the delivery to Gastronom, by fax or e-mail, addressing the sales office. Moreover, the same non-conformities should be noted down on the packing list, and writing “Goods unchecked”.

    5. Delivery time

    Orders received by 12:00 during working days are processed during the same day, and the goods will be issued to the courier for delivery, given that the standard checks about evidence of payment are successful. Other orders will be processed the next working day. If you want to get the goods directly at our warehouse, you should alert our sales office at least one hour before coming, either by phone or e-mail. Delivery times may vary from 1-2 working days for home deliveries (in Italy) and 3-5 working days for deliveries abroad, starting from the day of order processing.

    6. Payment

    The Customer can pay via bank transfer, credit card or Paypal. A different fee may be charged depending on the payment chosen.

    7. Withdrawal

    In accordance with Leg. Dec. 06/09/05 No.206, the Customer has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for any reason and without penalty, within 10 days of delivery of the products. To exercise this right, the Customer shall send a communication in writing by means of registered letter with recorded delivery to Gastronom S.r.l., via de’ Caboto, 49, 50127 Firenze. The right of withdrawal is however subject to the following terms: • The right is applied to the product purchased in its entirety; it is not possible to withdraw only on a part of the product purchased • Purchased goods must be intact The law states as well that the Customer shall pay the shipping and handling expenses related to the return of the goods; the delivery, until certified reception in our warehouse, is at the Customer’s complete responsibility. If the product has been opened and the seals are broken, the product shall not be refunded.

    8. Disputes

    Any disputes will be settled in the court of Firenze, Italian law applicable only.
